I loved drawing as a child. As I grew older, I continued to draw and paint. I got my first job working as an artist at a screen printing company when I was 17. I started in the print shop, cleaning screens and doing general labor. When the owner of the company noticed me drawing on my break, he marched me across the parking lot to the art department and introduced me to Rick and Jack and said, “You’re working in the art department now”. Up until that point it never occurred to me that someone would pay you to create art.
Everything we see is in one way or another touched by an artist. Buildings, cars, parks and every little detail in between. Everything starts with someone’s imagination.
I moved from pencil and paper long ago. My current tools are Maya, 3ds Max, Houdini, Zbrush, Substance Designer, Substance Painter, Photoshop, Unreal Engine, Marmoset Toolbag, and Vray.
